Service Update
Resolved: Service Disruption for Chrome Users
July 22, 2022
After a long wait, Chrome is back on the Chrome Web Store: get it now if you're new here.
To learn more about the disruption you can read the original notice , but the TL;DR is a fraudulent DMCA claim was filed which has since been resolved. At no time was any Chrome Web Store policy violated in terms of user data, privacy, malware, or anything like that. Unfortunately there's not much one can do about DMCA situations like this other than resolving it outside of the extension store with the parties involved, and that took some time. That's all resolved now, so enjoy!
When viewing chrome://extensions, you may see a notice like this:
Again, this has nothing to do with the safety of the extension itself and is entirely due to the extension having been recently taken down from the store. Over the next few weeks and months it will be trusted again and this warning will disappear. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out on Twitter @passportapp or @michaelflores23.
